Your work. Your records.

Orderly Workplace Records

Orderlies may assist with patient movement, transport equipment and maintain supplies between assignments. A workplace concern should identify the task and supervising role without revealing a patient’s condition or destination. Describe the sequence you experienced and distinguish your observations from clinical conclusions supplied by others.

“Not published” preserves unavailable or suppressed source cells. “Above reporting limit” preserves a top-coded source value without inventing a number. A missing state estimate does not establish service eligibility. The data describe wage and salary employment; they do not measure self-employment income.

Trace transport and handoff roles

Record the general transport or lifting assignment and who directed assistance. Note when responsibility passed to another staff role and whether you requested help or equipment. Do not infer a clinical cause from an outcome, and avoid collecting patient movement histories to reconstruct the event.

Explain equipment and cleaning duties

List preparation, equipment cleaning and supply tasks relevant to your schedule or evaluation. Record a repair need and the response. Compare your own time entry with assigned duties rather than assuming transport-system timestamps represent every part of your workday.

Keep patient and facility records protected

Do not copy patient lists, room identifiers, images or clinical records into personal storage. Identify relevant equipment or dispatch-record types for review. Do not move equipment or a person to recreate evidence; keep your own training and permitted employment messages separately.

Choose your next step

Review the workplace retaliation guide, unpaid wages guide, or discrimination guide if those concerns fit your experience. A job title alone does not establish a claim.
