“Not published” preserves unavailable or suppressed source cells. “Above reporting limit” preserves a top-coded source value without inventing a number. A missing state estimate does not establish service eligibility. The data describe wage and salary employment; they do not measure self-employment income.

Separate collection and downstream handling

Identify the general setting, assigned duty and role receiving the specimen after your work. Note changed instructions or a request for clarification. Distinguish what you personally checked from a later laboratory finding, and avoid assigning responsibility solely from the presence of your name in a record.

Describe preparation and workflow

Record supply preparation, required cleanup and movement between assigned areas when relevant to a schedule or performance concern. Note equipment or staffing interruptions and the response to your request for help. Use your own time records rather than patient encounter timestamps to establish work periods.

Keep clinical evidence in place

Do not retain specimen labels, requisitions, patient photographs, samples or clinical-system screenshots. Describe relevant record types for controlled review and keep your own permitted employment documents separately. Do not access a patient file solely to investigate an employment dispute or reproduce a collection event for evidence.

Choose your next step

Review the workplace retaliation guide, unpaid wages guide, or discrimination guide if those concerns fit your experience. A job title alone does not establish a claim.
