YesLawyer Consumer Health Privacy Notice
Effective October 9, 2026
YesLawyer, Inc. provides this separate notice for consumer health information associated with legal inquiries and services. Applicable Washington, Nevada, Connecticut, and other laws may provide additional rights. Coverage and exceptions depend on the information, processing, and legal obligations involved.
Categories and sources
When relevant to an inquiry or matter, information you or an authorized representative provide may include a disability or medical condition, symptoms, treatment, medications, accommodations, leave, injury, health-related employment facts, and supporting documents or communications. Identifiers can link those facts to a person. Inferences about health from those records may also be health information.
Sources may include you, your authorized representatives, the law firm handling the matter, health or employment records obtained with appropriate authority, and other parties or records involved in the legal matter.
Collection and use
We process relevant information to respond to your inquiry, evaluate or support requested legal services, communicate, administer the matter, and meet legal or professional obligations. Consent is requested where required; processing necessary to provide a requested service or another statutory exception must remain within that exception.
An initial inquiry should include only the information needed to describe the request. Use an appropriate secure channel for detailed medical records.
Disclosures and consent
Information may be provided to the law firm evaluating or handling your request, authorized representatives, and service providers supporting hosting, secure documents, communications, and related service operations. Disclosures to other participants in a matter, experts, authorities, or a court depend on your authorization, the service, and applicable legal duties.
Where law requires separate consent for sharing, that choice must be obtained separately from collection consent. These notices and general website terms do not supply an authorization to sell consumer health data. A sale requiring a separate signed authorization cannot be authorized by merely visiting the site.
The specific legal provider responsible for a matter is identified in the applicable intake or engagement process. Contact us for information about recipients associated with your request.
Rights, withdrawal, and appeals
To request access, information about recipients, correction where applicable, deletion, consent withdrawal, or an appeal, contact privacy@yeslawyer.com. Identify the site and the right you wish to exercise. Do not include detailed medical records in the initial email.
We may verify requests using information reasonably necessary for the purpose and respond within the applicable legal deadline. Exceptions can apply, including legal recordkeeping and claims. An appeal response will include information about regulator complaints where required. We do not discriminate for exercising applicable rights.
Changes
The effective date identifies this version. Material changes affecting consumer health information will be addressed with any notice or consent required by applicable law.
